INTRODUCTION
An air-conditioning system generally consists of three components:
the air-handling unit treats the air from a thermal and quality standpoint and sets it in motion;
the control system acts on various parameters to maintain measured values close to the desired comfort level;
the air handling network provides connections between the air handling unit and the premises it serves. It is also used, in connection with the outside, to introduce and extract air.
In this article, each component of these three elements is described, with a reminder of its role and function.
