4.1 Mechanical resistance. Ductility

Since tungsten is most often used at high temperatures, knowledge of its stress rupture, creep and fatigue behavior is essential. At low temperatures, ductility is particularly important. But tungsten's mechanical properties are highly dependent on its purity and manufacturing history.
