5. Assembly

Stainless steels are supplied in the form of semi-finished products. These are mainly :

  • flat products (coils, strips, sheets);

  • long products (bars, wires);

  • tubes, castings and forgings.

These semi-finished products are then cut, shaped and assembled by users [M 4 540] . Assembly is one of the major components of the implementation process.
