6. Mistakes to avoid

6.1 Don't regard inhalation as the only way for toxic substances to enter the body.

Although inhalation is often the predominant route of exposure, the transcutaneous route should not be overlooked, particularly with chemical agents marked "skin" in the lists of occupational exposure limit values.
