5. Our advice

The only samples representative of inhalation exposure are ambulatory and taken from the operator's respiratory tract.

Particularly in the case of dust, they can be bilateral to take account of the frequent heterogeneity of concentrations at the workstation; alternatively, the position of the sampling support can be alternated between the right and left sides of the respiratory tract.
