3. Whether or not to take specific hazard classes into account

3.1 Specific to self-classification

Article 4.3 of the CLP Regulation specifies that if the substance also falls under one or more hazard classes or differentiations not covered by an entry in Annex VI, a classification shall be carried out in accordance with Title II for those hazard classes or differentiations.

The classification provided in the registration dossier was prepared in accordance with Title II. You must therefore take into account the hazard classes and categories specific to self-classification.

These additional classifications may include:

  • a hazard not covered by the harmonized classification; for example, a substance may be classified in Annex VI for repeated-dose...
