6. Conclude risk assessment and treatment

This step leads to the conclusion as to whether or not the risk thus characterized is acceptable, according to the risk acceptability levels set by regulations or internal to the facility.

Depending on the methodology you use, risk rating or classification will lead to two situations:

  • the risk is low or acceptable: this state must be maintained over time;

  • the risk is significant, strong, unacceptable: action must be taken to correct the situation.
