MBO: Management by Objectives

PDCA: Plan-Do-Check-Act or PDSA (Plan-Do-Study-Act). Deming's cycle, used for continuous improvement and knowledge acquisition. Deming replaced the PDCA Check (which he called the Shewhart cycle) with the term Study, to emphasize that this phase should be subject to rigorous analysis, preferably statistical, before moving on to the next phase (the decision phase).
