4.1 Breaking performance down into a multitude of indicators
There are relatively few risks in implementing indicators, so true is the adage that you can only manage what you measure. However, there is a sneaky risk, hidden behind the appearance of virtue, which consists in multiplying measurements and indicators.
Zeal in this area, as in many others, is counter-productive, and proposals to multiply indicators, however well-intentioned, must be curbed!
