6. Guarantee

6.1 Documented information requirement

The quality manual is still required by IATF 16949 (see chapter 7.5.1.1). However, the expected form is more open (one or more documents, electronic or paper). But it must include :

  • the scope of application and, where applicable, the justification for any exclusions;

  • documented processes (required by the standard) ;

  • QMS processes (mapping, interactions) ;

  • outsourced processes ;

  • a table, matrix or list linking QMS and customer-specific requirements (CSR).
