4. Tools that guarantee quality

4.1 VDA and AIAG Core Tools

Quality methodologies have often originated in the automotive sector. The German VDA and the American AIAG publish basic tools (see "Websites" section). IATF 16949 refers to five tools called "Core Tools" and leaves the choice of methodology up to the equipment manufacturer, in the knowledge that the organization's customer may impose its choice.
