5. Mistakes to avoid

5.1 Don't go too fast

Don't "impose" an EFQM approach on your organization, just because it appeals to your manager and/or quality manager. Remember that the standard is in fact a collection of best practices, and that each company or organization can adapt it to its own context. The process takes several years to mature. "Stuffing your organization full of EFQM precepts in a short space of time could be fatal... Gradual consumption is required.
