5.1 Don't neglect equipment metrological verification intervals

Quality management systems must be efficient, effective and effective. Equipment management and control are no exception.

A great deal of data is recorded during metrological checks and calibrations. Recording data without analyzing it and making decisions does not improve efficiency or effectiveness.

Data processing should lead to optimization of the frequency of metrological confirmations of measuring instruments, with a view to increasing the effectiveness of metrological control (see Bibliography section).
