1. How do you demonstrate your staff's technical skills?

The predominance of the technical-scientific component of ISO/CEI 17025 places personnel at the heart of the management system. It is through its core competencies that the laboratory will demonstrate mastery of its testing and/or calibration activities, its ability to anticipate change, innovate, and develop its methods and tools in line with scientific advances.

The standards do not specify the process for achieving technical skills, leaving it entirely up to the laboratory to provide a satisfactory response.

The laboratory management must ensure the competence of its personnel and be able to demonstrate their qualification for the tasks, activities and functions assumed by taking into account:

  • knowledge (as knowing) ;

  • training (as the ability to learn)...
