 INTRODUCTION

A reliable process is one whose behavior we can predict, giving us the leverage to act and influence its results. On the other hand, and this is what we want to avoid, an unreliable process does not allow us to predict its behavior, as it is sensitive to hazards, drifts and other "undesirable events"; all these elements will ultimately cause it to vary and impact its output or result.
