1. Collect design modification requests for a product or service

Design change requests can be submitted throughout the product, service or project lifecycle.

In the case of an industrial product, requests may be made as soon as the first products are manufactured and industrialized. In this case, given that design activities are already underway, the aim is to take modification requests into account as changes to design input data. Depending on the progress of the design project, it may or may not be possible to take them into account. If not, it may be worth keeping these requests for future product development.

When the request for product modification comes after the product has been produced and delivered, the impact can be more significant, particularly for customers, and in-depth analyses are often necessary, including in conjunction with customers and/or user representatives.
