4. How to measure and improve maintenance efficiency?
Your equipment fleet has now been maintained. Now it's time to check that you've achieved your objectives. From the data you have recorded, you can calculate – indicators which will enable you to evaluate the performance (and its evolution) of the – maintenance process and identify the actions to be taken to improve this performance.
4.1 Maintenance indicators
There are a great many maintenance indicators, and an abundance of literature on the subject. Depending on your objectives, you'll need to choose the most appropriate indicators for your dashboard, according to what you need/want to measure. You can define several levels of indicators, such as efficiency indicators for the process (or part of the process), but also specific indicators for critical equipment....
