2. What's involved, from preparation to submission of the declaration file?

2.1 Identifying activities, a prerequisite for listing classified facilities

Before compiling your declaration file, you need to identify all the activities present on your site and likely to affect the environment (storage or use of hazardous substances or products, noisy activities, odorous activities, discharges into the sewer system or aquatic environment, etc.).

The identification of polluting activities will then enable you to list all the classified installations on your site in accordance with the nomenclature of classified installations. In particular, you'll need to establish a correspondence between the volume of your activities and the thresholds of the classified facility nomenclature.
