6. Our advice

6.1 Regularly monitor an installation's level of compliance with its ministerial decree or standard decree, even if the activity does not fall under the special "periodic inspection" regime.

As the operator of a classified facility subject to declaration, it is important to regularly monitor the level of compliance of your activity with the ministerial decree on general requirements. This regulatory monitoring can be carried out with the support of external technical assistance (consultancy firms, for example). It enables the operator to keep abreast of changes in regulations, as well as changes in regulatory compliance, and can protect the operator against the risk of formal notice in the event of non-compliance identified following a visit by the Classified Installations Inspectorate....
