Are there any administrative formalities to be completed for facilities classified under the registration system?

During operation, operators are required to meet the same demands as those for classified installations under the authorization regime, i.e., keeping the classified installation file up to date, notifying the Prefect of any modifications, cessation procedures, self-monitoring, periodic checks, inspections, accident reporting and registers.

If you make any "significant" changes to your facilities or their operation, or if you extend them, you must inform the Prefect. You may be subject to another regime (declaration, registration or authorization) depending on the impact and hazards involved.
