6. Mistakes to avoid
6.1 Don't underestimate the quantity of your dangerous goods to be shipped
The loading and transport of dangerous goods in quantities exceeding ADR chapter 1.1.3.6 "Exemptions related to quantities carried per transport unit" in packages or in bulk requires the appointment of a TDG Safety Advisor (ADR chapter 1.8.3 "Safety Advisor" and article 6 of the French TDG decree).
If you underestimate your quantities, you'll think you qualify for a Safety Advisor exemption, and you'll be in breach of the law.
