2. Identify the challenges of the health and safety notice and the Single Document

Despite sharing a common field of action – the protection of workers' health and safety – the health and safety notice and the Single Document have different stakes.

2.1 Health and safety notice

The health and safety notice is a compulsory part of the authorization application file, ensuring that the future operator of the ICPE has taken into account the health and safety of workers. It is therefore carried out prior to the start-up of operations. It is then updated as part of the operating review, every ten years.

Before obtaining an operating permit, the future operator is required to study issues relating to the health, safety and hygiene of employees who will be working at the facility.
