 INTRODUCTION

In application of ICPE regulations, you have drawn up – or will be drawing up – a health and safety notice (NHS), as part of your application for authorization to operate an ICPE.

You're wondering about the links between this part of the ICPE file and the Document unique d'évaluation des risques (single risk assessment document), required by health and safety regulations.

  • Are these two documents mandatory?

  • Do they have the same content?

  • Are they aimed at the same people?

The purpose of both the health and safety notice and the Single Document is to protect the health and safety of workers, but one is imposed by ICPE regulations, primarily aimed at protecting the environment, while the other is imposed by the French Labor Code.

To understand the issues and specific features of each of these documents, we need to identify their respective authors, issues, content and target audience.
