8. Mistakes to avoid

8.1 Don't forget to have the periodic inspection carried out within six months of commissioning.

As the operator of a classified DC plant, you are required to have your plant inspected by an approved body of your choice, at your own expense. Failure to carry out a periodic inspection is punishable by a fine of €1,500 for a 5th-class offence, equivalent to the cost of the inspection.
