1. Submit the declaration file with periodic inspection

Before the plant is commissioned, it must be declared to the prefect of the département in which it is to be located. A declaration form can be downloaded from a number of prefecture websites (see Compiling a declaration file [FIC 0057] ). The operator sends (by post or hand-delivered) the declaration form, complete with graphics, to the local prefecture.
