4. What materials are involved in ultrasonic (US) welding?

All in all, we can say that it's the technology capable of accepting the widest latitude of possibilities and combinations, even if it doesn't always respect the rules of the art.

Despite errors in part design, assembly or machine set-up, ultrasound still enables you to produce acceptable parts.

There are few penalties: machine breakdowns are infrequent, and the sonotrode and anvil are rarely damaged.

4.1 Thermoplastic monomaterials

All thermoplastics can be welded together. Depending on the parameters mentioned above, the materials react with varying degrees of ease.
