To control the uncertainties involved in estimating task durations as effectively as possible, it is essential to implement best practices.
3.1 Schedule and working conditions
Estimates should be based on normal working conditions, without taking into account any constraints or unforeseen events that could disrupt the timely completion of tasks. Such contingencies will arise of their own accord (technical difficulties, customer requests for change, etc.)!
If a task is part of the project's critical path(s), it is always possible to set up special conditions for its completion: allocation of resources, organization of working time, etc.
