5. Mistakes to avoid

5.1 Don't estimate task durations on your own

Under no circumstances should the project manager estimate them alone: they are assigned to task managers. The project manager's role is to create a climate of trust with the project's contributors, so that the estimated durations are as reliable as possible. He is the guarantor of the estimation method.
