INTRODUCTION
In projects, facilitation makes sense in different situations:
Facilitation techniques are very useful in an environment characterized by strict hierarchies and slow decision-making processes. Facilitation can help save time while respecting internal decision-making processes.
They also find their place when meetings include a large number of stakeholders. These stakeholders often come with very different cultural backgrounds. This situation is conducive to misunderstanding and conflict. Facilitation helps to defuse conflict and focus stakeholders on the objective of working together.
Last but not least, facilitation techniques are very useful in project meetings. In particular, they help maintain the interest and motivation of those involved.
Project managers often suffer from having to invest a lot of energy in inefficient meetings. He can therefore draw on facilitation techniques to :
save time;
increase support for decisions ;
lighten his workload.
