3. What are the four stages of vibration welding?

The principle of friction material welding is to generate heat by combining linear reciprocating motion and pressure on a contact surface of part A with part B.

The phases of a vibration welding cycle are divided into four stages:

  • solid friction ;

  • transition ;

  • Cooling.
