4. Remove obstacles to cultural change
There are many cultural obstacles, depending on your corporate culture. Three classic obstacles are language, the written word and lack of time.
4.1 Language
Language is a classic obstacle in multicultural companies. English is the most commonly used language. To facilitate information sharing, the following are necessary or useful:
the existence of local-language community(ies);
creation of multilingual metadata thesauri, creation of summaries... ;
instant message translation; some platforms are developing this type of function (e.g. Microsoft's social network, Yammer).
