2. Identify capitalization objectives

You have key expertise held by few people and/or by people who will be leaving your organization, and you want to safeguard, share and enhance their knowledge. These are :

  • identify and evaluate this expertise in relation to your short-, medium- and long-term innovation objectives;

  • define a plan to safeguard, share and promote the know-how of these experts;

  • capitalize on this know-how (methods and tools);

  • ensure that this know-how is shared and exploited for innovation;

  • control the human factors involved in these actions.

Once you've formulated your problem, you need to state your requirements and their limits, in terms of content, means and duration.
