1. Establish a product-use design approach
The aim of this step is to describe a detailed approach, following the proposed method, which enables the co-evolution of your product's technical design and its usage design. This involves, on the one hand, organizing the collaboration with the expert user, and on the other, creating your own design process integrating usage. Remember that usage, which is the source of understanding needs, is itself subject to change and modification. That's why you need to build in time for experimentation, so that users can try out prototypes.
The figure below shows a diagram of a co-evolutionary product-use design process. It is made up of several stages, and in order to progress from one stage to the next (e.g. from solution development to detailed design), an intermediate stage of product-use confrontation is required at each stage.
