3. Understand the characteristics of the change management process and its stages

Change management support is needed throughout the various phases of the project.

The success of the change that contributes to the success of the project depends on :

  • by involving stakeholders during the implementation phase;

  • and when the change is operational, by its appropriation by the stakeholders.

During the project initiation phase, stakeholders contribute to the detailed definition and implementation of the project. Afterwards, stakeholders will have to implement the change in practice. The effectiveness of the processes implemented will depend, to a large extent, on the knowledge that has been injected during the set-up, preparation and involvement of the stakeholders.
