5. Information traceability, a guarantee of study quality

If the aim of a study was to reduce assembly time or manufacturing costs by a certain criterion, it is highly likely that this study will come back to the fore a few years after the project has been completed. Cost reduction is a constant challenge in industry. It is therefore essential to be able to go back to previous studies, and to have access to the elements used to draw up the graphics in your document.

There is no universal strategy for ensuring total traceability of development or research studies. If only because of the evolution of office software, for which file formats can change from one version to the next. Nevertheless, there are a few best practices that should be followed to avoid mistakes.
