7. Mistakes to avoid

7.1 Don't blindly rely on the results of a SWOT analysis

They are by nature subjective, and depend on the knowledge and personalities of the team who carried them out. Like all tools, SWOT analysis should only be used as an aid to decision-making.

A SWOT analysis takes into account both internal and external factors, which can change more or less rapidly, so it's important not to forget to update the elements as they evolve.
