6. Our advice

6.1 Be methodical

To reduce the likelihood of overlooking relevant and significant elements, we recommend you follow these tips when drawing up your SWOT analysis and matrix.

  • As the organizer of this SWOT analysis, you may find it useful, as a preliminary to teamwork, to start filling in this matrix with a few elements relevant to the object and scope under analysis. This will illustrate the work to be done for participants unfamiliar with SWOT analyses, and make the process run more smoothly.

  • Get the team to think about each box on the matrix separately, starting with the elements with a positive connotation. This focus facilitates the intellectual work of identifying and listing the elements....
