4. Formulating strategies

At this stage, the manager is faced with the realities of the external environment, with full knowledge of the resources and capacities available to his organization.

The strategies implemented will enable the company to achieve its objectives.

Several strategies can be deployed – corporate strategy, competitive strategy and functional strategy – which will be developed below.

4.1 Corporate strategy

It defines a company's areas of activity (current and future), as well as the development of its activities. Mission and objectives are reviewed, as well as the role of each activity in relation to the company as a whole.
