1. Collection
To collect data, you first need to have a corpus of sources that the tool can interrogate. Sources are registered via the "Administer" module.
The AMIEI platform can be used to add three main source formats:
links: the tool indexes the content of pages containing links, as well as the content of the pages or documents (PDF, word processing, spreadsheets, slides) to which these links lead;
RSS: the tool indexes RSS feeds;
page: the tool indexes the content of a page. This is particularly useful for static pages.
AMI is able to index the content of sources accessed via forms. These are so-called complex sources. This is very useful, for example, if you are a subscriber to a magazine offering web access with login...
