2. What strategies are needed to change behavior?

You have several strategies at your disposal to try and positively influence unsustainable user behavior. There are many possible levels of intervention. They range from a simple information device that the user is free to use or not, to an incentive system, and finally to a totally "intelligent" system that induces responsible use with complete transparency (cf. Figure 1).
