1. Understanding their usefulness

In 2021, in the midst of the coronavirus epidemic, a third of French people claim to own a connected watch or bracelet, and one in five a connected scale ( cf. "> "> Les Français et la Santé Numérique – Enquête Ipsos "> "> ).

By definition, a connected object is one capable of communicating and interacting with another object or via the Internet. It's a physical object that performs one or more functions in the real world (e.g. brushing your teeth) but which, linked to digital technology, offers new services (e.g. brushing statistics, oral advice).

Connected health devices also meet public demand.
