INTRODUCTION
With the development of connected objects, the Internet of Things (IoT) has become ubiquitous in communications technology discourse. Today, however, it's more of a perspective than a clearly defined notion. This is because, unlike the Internet itself, there are as yet no common rules for a set of networks whose main characteristic is to support only machine-to-machine (MtoM) exchanges on a completely different scale (number, coverage) than at present, and with new modalities. New solutions are emerging for different IoT applications, and it's only gradually that networks will come closer together, as was the case with the Internet. Beyond that, the Internet of Things will undoubtedly merge with the Internet we know today, but that's another story.
