Functional tree

Structured decomposition of the system's main function into its elementary functions. The functional tree is described within a system block only, and is limited to 2-3 levels of decomposition (to control complexity).

Structured decomposition of a system into its components. The physical tree is described within a system block only, and is limited to a single level of decomposition.

Functional architecture

Presentation of a main function identifying the functions in its functional tree with their sequencing and their input, output or trigger flow exchanges.
