     INTRODUCTION

You want to start an innovation project. You have an initial idea. However, it is necessary to get organized and build up your skills and knowledge (we are talking about investigation here), i.e., take the time to define the problem rather than rushing headlong into developing an imperfect solution.

This sheet will help you initiate an innovation project in an organized manner, by planning the research tasks that will enable the project team to develop their skills and knowledge through "knowledge books." The research logbook aims to create a common framework for project team members to distribute workloads and responsibilities on key themes identified collectively.

The investigation logbook is the first deliverable of the Radical Innovation Design® (RID) methodology, which is driven by usage and described in detail in various practical fact sheets. It enables the launch of an RID innovation project. It is closely linked to the second deliverable of the methodology (see Stating an ideal need [FIC 0424] and RID: Observation of uses [FIC 1448] ), re-problematization (the two deliverables are self-reinforcing), and directly enables the initiation of the third deliverable, the observation of uses.
