3. Trends and differentiation criteria

The IoT in healthcare, as in other sectors, will be made up of several types of network; from an economic point of view, they will be grouped around a few players, but will continue to differentiate themselves according to the services expected or the funding users. As a result, the first period will see the rapid development of :

  • around a university hospital, a healthcare network for a specific pathology ;

  • of people helped in a department ;

  • carried by a supplementary insurer (mutual IP insurance);

  • organized in a community (town, community) and capable of providing initial services or collecting the information needed for public health;

  • offered by mobile operators to their customers, etc.
