4. Opening up to the outside world

Faced with the complexity of the industrial problems to be solved and the globalization of intellectual exchanges, an R&D department can no longer operate in isolation. Procter & Gamble has announced a target of over 50% of its products incorporating external knowledge. Veolia has set up a co-R&D system with partners who contact the company of their own accord and apply for this co-innovation process. If Veolia accepts, they will benefit from a temporary merger between the R&D teams of the two structures.
