Take great care when obtaining perceptual data and organizing tests. It is imperative to obtain the most reliable measurements possible, so as to be able to explain their variability a posteriori by intrinsic product attributes. The subject panel must disregard any preference judgments (the collection and use of preference data is covered in the "How to take preferences into account in product design?
