3. How to claim ownership of a patent?
In the event of infringement of the rules governing patent rights, it is possible to bring a claim.
Article L. 611-8 al. 1 of the French Intellectual Property Code ( Code de la propriété intellectuelle ) states that "If an industrial property title has been applied for either for an invention that has been taken away from the inventor or his successors in title, or in violation of a legal or contractual obligation, the injured party may claim ownership of the application or the title issued (...)".
