8. Mistakes to avoid

  • When importing from external sources, don't be put off by the apparent incompatibility of a source (no Zotero icon, source not declared in Mendeley). This doesn't mean that you can't save references and that the export functions specific to the resource in question won't work. This should always be verified.

  • A general imperative: don't give the monitoring you can carry out on the online servers of free bibliographic tools, based on what is shared there by their users, the systematic character of an exhaustive watch. It is above all a "capitalization" watch, which is added to the others and is not intended to replace them but to complement them, as it is relative to the degree of use made of these platforms.
