3. What is the INPI administrative examination?

3.1 Verification of royalty payments

Payment of the filing and search report fees is not compulsory at the time of filing, but must be made within one month of filing.

If payment is not received within the stipulated period, the claim is rejected. However, it is possible to regularize payment within two months of notification of rejection, subject to payment of a surcharge. If the failure to pay and/or to pay the increased fees is not contested, the rejection decision is final.
